Title I Title I is a federal program that provides funding for all the students that Galtier serves. Galtier students and staff practice the best elements of effective literacy instruction to meet the needs of our entire student population. Students at Galtier are engaged in reading and writing in these ways: * teachers read aloud to students * teachers and students read together * students receive daily focused small group reading instruction * students practice reading independently with teacher support * teachers demonstrate good writing, using students' ideas as they write * students practice writing independently with teacher support
