First Grade at Galtier Welcome to First Grade! First Grade is a wonderful new experience to all young children. Students at Galtier are excited to be at school and show their enthusiasm everyday. In first grade we focus on: Reading Strategies Writing Genres Math These main focuses are embedded into the magnet focus of Math, Science and Technology. Reading, writing, and math are incorporated into all units of study.
