This year is my 16th year of teaching students! During my career I have taught 1st, 2nd,3rd,5th, and 6th grade. People ask me which is my favorite and I truly can't say, I enjoy them all.
I would like to tell you a little bit about educational background. I have a B.A from Western Illinois University. I received my teaching license from Augsburg College in Minneapolis and I have a Masters degree in Urban Education from Hamline University.
About our classroom:Room 1156
We have 24 students who all care for each other greatly.
Our daily schedule:
9:10-9:30 Morning Meeting
9:30-10:30 Everyday Math
10:30-11:30 Readers Workshop and Writers Workshop
11:40-12:10 Lunch
12:10-1:00 Guided Reading
1:05-1:55 Prep Art or Gym
1:55-2;00 Computer Mon. Science Lab Tues. and Thursday's
Wed. and Fri. We are in the classroom doing various activities.
Homework is sent Monday though Thursday.
Wednesdays look for notes from the office.
Parents are encouraged to visit our room anytime. Just sign in at the office get a visitors pass and join us.
