We are proud to have 69 ELL students from 13 different languages.
Ours students come from Asia, Africa, North, South and Central America, the Carribean, and the Pacific Islands. We are privileged to have a diverse community of learners.
The goal of the ELL department of Saint Paul Public Schools and Galtier Magnet Elementary is to promote a strong foundation  | | First Graders and volunteers listen to a mini-lesson |
for academic achievement and English language proficiency to English Language Learners.
At Galtier, ELL services are delivered through a collaboration between the ELL and classroom teaching staff during Language Arts. English language learners and mainstream learners are grouped by grade and reading level. English language support occurs during their Reading and Writing classes.
